The Office of the Prime Ministerโs Industry and Innovation Unit continues to make significant strides in advancing the role of girls in technology by aligning our work with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), particularly in promoting quality education, gender equality, and decent work.

Through a range of inclusive initiatives, including the ICT Literacy Training Programme, which is tiered in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced; Train the Trainers; Persons with Disabilities (PWDS) Training; Innovation Camp; and the flagship Guyanese Girls Code Program, the Unit has trained hundreds of females nationwide by equipping them with critical digital skills to thrive in a tech-driven world. Simultaneously, the Unit has ongoing awareness and sensitisation campaigns across the country, including the ICT Roadshow, which continues to inspire girls to explore, pursue, and excel in careers and studies within the ICT sector. Our initiatives within the Industry and Innovation Unit continue to reinforce the vital message that investing in girls in ICT is key to building a more inclusive, innovative, and equitable future.
