60 young adults, teenagers and children from the Villages of Fort Ordinance and Adelphi Settlement, East Canje Berbice, benefited from the Unit’s Basic ICT Training.
The Office of the Prime Minister’s Industry and Innovation Unit remains aware of the importance of ICT in Guyana. Therefore, our Computer Literacy Training Programmes are essential as Guyana become digitally literate.
Recently, approximately 60 young adults, teenagers and children from the Villages of Fort Ordinance and Adelphi Settlement, East Canje Berbice, benefited from the Unit’s Basic ICT Training.
Delivering the feature remarks at the Adelphi Settlement’s graduation was the Unit’s Planning Coordinator, Mr. Shawn Coonjah. He urged the graduates to continue to develop their skills while encouraging them to share their new knowledge with family and friends. Mr. Coonjah also highlighted the importance ICT plays, including ICT developments in the agriculture sector.
Meanwhile, Pandit Deodat Persaud of the Golden OM Dharmic Youth organisation joined the graduation and delivered brief remarks.
The Computer Literacy Training Programmes is an ongoing initiative spearheaded by the Industry and Innovation Unit. It will continue simultaneously throughout the regions of Guyana.
