Industry & Innovation Unit, Office of the Prime Minister committed to bridging gaps between men and women in ICT
Dwight Ferguson of the Office of The Prime Minister, Industry and Innovation Unit. Will be a panelist at the Innov8her Summit 2021, seeking to Cultivate economic prosperity for women through entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology for sustainable development. Innov8HER is focused on innovative ways to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women within the ecosystem. Innovative approaches are needed to remove structural barriers and ensure that no woman or girl is left behind.
We are encouraging women to think equally, create smart and innovate for change, and focus on innovative ways to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women for sustainable development, particularly in the areas of social protection systems, access to public services, and sustainable infrastructure.
Innovation, creativity and technology provide unprecedented opportunities, yet trends indicate a growing gender digital divide and women are under-represented in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and design. It prevents them from developing and influencing gender-responsive innovations to achieve transformative gains for society. Reducing inequality requires transformative change!
We need more significant efforts to remove structural barriers and ensure that no woman or girl is left behind. I invite you to join us from the Date: 8 -9 March 2021 Time: 10:AM-15:00 PM (GMT) Virtually Zoom, Facebook Live
