Twenty-five children and young adults from the Agricola community benefitted from our Community ICT training.
Digital literacy is no longer a luxury but a requirement in our society. Earlier today, some twenty-five children and young adults from the Agricola community benefitted from our Community ICT training.
Graduating students were trained and quizzed which resulted in a 9- year old from the community emerging as one of our best graduating students!
Underscoring the importance of ICT in a growing economy, the Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, Honourable Kwame McCoy who delivered the featured address underlined the importance of ICT, more so ICT literacy in a growing economy.
“Take the opportunity of the dream that you can be the next doctor, lawyer or teacher, the next ICT expert and that by achieving that dream you are taking the advantage of this programme and all the other opportunities being offered,” Minister McCoy said.
Also addressing the graduates was the Director of the Industry and Innovation Unit, Mr Shahrukh Hussain, Facilitator Sean Renville and Headmistress of the St. Anne’s Primary School.
