Forty-five children, teenagers and young adults from Lusignan and surrounding villages completed a five-day training, including; basic ICT training, robotics, web development and coding.
The Office of the Prime Minister’s Industry and Innovation Unit in collaboration with the Department of Public Affairs understand that the advantages of information and communication technology are omnipresent and cannot be underestimated, hence, the implementation of our ICT Innovation Camp.
Catered towards boosting digital skills and awareness, forty-five children, teenagers and young adults from Lusignan and surrounding villages completed a five-day training, including; basic ICT training, robotics, web development and coding.
Delivering the feature remarks, Minister of Health Dr Frank Anthony emphasized the importance of being fully ICT equipped in the modern world. He noted with the understanding of ICT, one should recognize the positive and negative effects of the world wide web and lean towards enhancing their digital skills.
“I want to encourage you that as you leave this course, it would have opened your appetite to learn; go on the internet and look for the positive”, Dr Anthony said.
Also present at today’s activity were the Director of Youth, Mr Suresh Singh and Director of Industry and Innovation Unit, Mr Shahrukh Hussain.
