Several participants from the village of Laluni graduated from our basic ICT training.
The Office of the Prime Minister through the Industry and Innovation Unit is conducting a series of Community-Level Training Programmes across Guyana.
Today, several participants from the village of Laluni graduated from our basic ICT training.
Web Services Coordinator, Mark Mahabir delivered the feature address congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of ICT in the modern world.
Mahabir said, “the covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of ICT more than anything else, particularly the need for more literacy in ICT given the emergence and need for e-governance, e-learning and e-commerce.
Guyana is going digital and we must be prepared when this fully happens.”
Also present at the simple graduation ceremony was the Chairman of Laluni Community Development Council, Julian Mohabir.
