The Office of the Prime Minister’s Industry and Innovations Unit launched its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Roadshow today.

The aim is to engage young people and spread awareness of the importance of ICT in Guyana’s growing economy, as well as in light of the global digital revolution.
Delivering the feature remarks, Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips stressed the importance of ICT literacy, noting that Guyana’s continued development hinges on the education of its population on the fundamentals of ICT. He added that the roadshow will play an instrumental role in the government’s quest to bridge the digital divide.
This year’s ICT Roadshow is being held under the theme: Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Digital Innovators.
