Forty persons from several villages in Region One Barima-Waini, including Hosororo Hill, Bubury. Hobo Hill, Barabina Hill And Koberimo Hill on Friday, March 17th, completed the one-week “Train the Trainers” programme under the Industry and Innovation within the Office of The Prime Minister.

The Train the Trainers initiative was designed to disseminate ICT teaching skills, develop further the network of trainers and support better Information and Communications Technology exchange within the communities. The participants were engaged with rigorous advanced theory and practical ICT skillsets in areas including; cyber security, teaching methodology and internet computing were taught.

The training also creates a room to develop local trainers and reinforce knowledge to novice and experienced persons in the industry.

Present at the graduation ceremony were the Regional Chairman, Mr Brentol Ashley, REO; Mr. Tikaram Bisesar and the Mayor of Mabaruma, Mr. Chris Phang.
