The Train the Trainers programme commenced on Monday, March 16, in Kato, Region Eight, with 32 participants from Kato Village and surrounding communities embarking on a week-long intermediate and advanced immersion in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
This initiative marks the first time the unit has conducted training in the region, representing an important step in expanding ICT capacity in hinterland communities. It is also the first Train the Trainers programme being delivered for the year.
The programme is already demonstrating significant community interest and engagement. By equipping participants with enhanced digital skills and knowledge, it is expected to create a ripple effect as trainees share and apply what they learn within their communities.
