For the first time, the Industry and Innovation Unit within the Office of the Prime Minister hosted its ICT Roadshow in Region 8 at Kato Secondary School. The event provided students from Grades Ten and Eleven with valuable insights into the Government’s ongoing investment in ICT, the importance of staying safe online, and the range of career opportunities available in the digital sector. The ‘Edutainment sessions’ provided an opportunity to raise awareness, spark interest, and show how technology can support both personal and community development. As Guyana continues to advance digitally, initiatives like these remain important in ensuring hinterland communities are informed, included, and empowered.
